A large Iga or Shigaraki style tea ceremony water jar by Wayne Ngan of Hornby Island.
Wayne Ngan is one of Canada's most sought after potters and pieces from this era rarely come to market.
Condition:
As produced, no wear, surface degredation or scratching.
Background:
This large piece of Wayne Ngan was produced in the late 1970's during the short period when he was firing Raku.
This piece was purchased at an exhibition in Vancouver BC.
